About ScotScot Zimmerman is president of Huntington’s North Michigan Region, based in Traverse City, Michigan.
Scot joined Huntington when it acquired TCF in 2021. While at TCF, and its predecessor bank Chemical, he served as a regional president and a member of the senior leadership team. Previously he served as Chief Lending Officer, and part of a turnaround team, at Northwestern Bank, which was acquired by Chemical in 2014. Other experience includes time with Kidder Peabody & Co. and Dresdner Bank in New York City, Comerica in Detroit, and at Old Kent Bank and Fifth Third Bank in Northern Michigan. He also has experience as an owner/operator of a medical manufacturing business.
Scot has a Master’s of Business Administration from Lubin Graduate School of Business in New York City, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He has served on various community and non-profit boards across the region and currently serves as treasurer of Fishtown Preservation Society in Leland, Michigan.
Scot and his wife Liz reside in Traverse City, and have two grown daughters, Katy and Maddy.
