Deferral request for Loan payment


In order to request a deferral of your regularly scheduled monthly loan payments, please follow these instructions.  Send an email to paymenthelp@huntington.com.   

In your email, please include:

  • Account holders name as it appears on the account
  • The 11-digit account number
  • Current phone number
  • Number of months you want to defer, up to three
  • Specific pandemic related reason for the requested deferral

An example of such a reason is a reduction in income because you were laid off as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic.  We plan to respond to your request by email within 2 business days.  If approved, it may take up to 72 hours for the deferral to be reflected in our systems.  Please keep in mind that until your deferral request is processed and approved, you should continue to make your regular monthly payments.

By sending an email to paymenthelp@huntington.com , you are requesting the deferral of up to three monthly payments on your loan.  During the deferral period, you will not be required to make regular monthly payments, but interest will continue to accrue. The deferred payments will be due at the time your final payment is due on your loan.

At the end of your loan term, if you are not able to make the final scheduled payment, we will have additional options available to assist you in paying the final payment over time. During the period of any approved deferral, you will be considered current on your loan and no late fees or other additional charges will be imposed on you as a result of the deferral.
