Financial Education

  • Lemonade Day - Huntington was proud to bring Lemonade Day to Michigan in 2011. The free program is designed to inspire entrepreneurism by teaching kids to start and run their own business…a lemonade stand. With their profits, the kids are encouraged to save a little, spend a little and share a little by giving back to an organization of their choice. In our first year, nearly 2,600 kids registered to participate and gave about $160,000 to local charities.

  • Junior Achievement - Each year, Huntington colleagues go into area schools to teach children important lessons about money, money management, credit, budgeting and more. In 2011, East Michigan colleagues volunteered more than 550 hours and reached nearly 900 students in about 30 classrooms across the region.
