About Senthil

Kumar joined Huntington in February 2026 and is responsible for overseeing the company’s enterprise risk management framework, including credit, market, operational, compliance and model risk, as well as strengthening risk governance in support of Huntington’s growth strategy.

Kumar has more than 25 years of senior risk leadership experience across global financial institutions. Most recently, he served as Chief Risk Officer at BNY, where he led credit, market, operational and compliance risk functions across the firm. Prior to BNY, Kumar held multiple senior risk leadership roles at Citigroup, including Chief Risk Officer for the Institutional Clients Group, where he managed risk for a global portfolio spanning more than 100 countries. Earlier at Citi, he served as Head of Risk for Financial Institutions and the Public Sector, as well as Head of Risk for Alternative Assets and Investments, Hedge Funds, and Private Equity.

Earlier in his career, Kumar held leadership roles at Samba Financial Group, where he served as Head of Market Risk Management and later as Business Head of Alternative Investments.

Kumar holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Madras in India, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He also serves on the board of the American Heart Association’s New York City chapter.
