Northeast Ohio Region President
About Jay
Jay Turakhia serves as the Regional President for Huntington Bank in Northeast Ohio, where he leads regional and community banking efforts across one of the bank’s most strategic markets.
Prior to joining Huntington, Jay was the Greater Baltimore Market President for Truist Bank, overseeing commercial banking for the Maryland region. In that role, he led teams serving established and growth-oriented companies while shaping and executing a unified go-to-market strategy that aligned teams and capabilities across all business lines.
Before Truist, Jay spent several years at PNC Bank in Commercial & Business Banking, partnering with senior leadership teams of privately held and institutional companies to enhance profitability, optimize capital structure, and strengthen competitive positioning. During his time at PNC, Jay was one of only eight employees out of more than 54,000 nationwide to receive the bank’s top honor — the PNC Performance Award.
A proud alumnus of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, Jay has built his career at the intersection of financial leadership and community impact. He has served on the boards of the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, United Way of Central Maryland, Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, Gateway Maryland, and the Greater Baltimore Committee.
Jay’s leadership and community engagement have earned him multiple honors, including being named one of Baltimore’s 40 Under 40 by the Baltimore Business Journal and receiving the 2025 Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award, a distinction presented by Boy Scouts of America recognizing his commitment to advancing opportunity and service within the community.
