About JohnJohn Irwin is president of Huntington's West Michigan Region, which is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Irwin joined Huntington in 2002 and previously served as the region's corporate banking executive before being appointed regional president in January 2013. Irwin is a 36-year banking veteran with experience in international services, business banking, corporate banking, and retail banking administration. His career has taken him to Indianapolis, Indiana; Phoenix, Arizona; Columbus, Ohio and now Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Irwin actively serves in the West Michigan community where he is a board member of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, Grand Rapids Symphony, Southwest Michigan First, St. Cecilia Music Center, and the Women's Resource Center. He is also a Steering Committee member of the Huntington Colleagues' Good Government Fund (HBI-PAC).
Irwin completed his undergraduate work at DePauw University, received a master's in business administration from Indiana University, and graduated from The Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
