About Sue

Sue Zazon leads the diverse team of financial services professionals at Columbus- based Huntington Bank who are committed to serving consumers and businesses across central Ohio. She also oversees the bank’s philanthropic investments for central Ohio, along with all community involvement and Community Reinvestment Act priorities.

A 38-year banking veteran, Sue joined Huntington in 2016 with the acquisition of FirstMerit where she led the organization’s consistent growth across greater Columbus for more than a decade. Prior to FirstMerit, she held several positions at KeyBank, including service as Commercial Banking sales leader and Central Ohio president.

Active in the community, Sue is a member of the board of trustees for the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Columbus, Inc., and board chair for Rev1 Ventures. She is also a member of Young Presidents’ Organization Gold in Columbus. Sue is past board chair of One Columbus, and past treasurer and president of the YMCA board of trustees. She also served on the board of trustees for the Center for Family Safety and Healing, Columbus Children’s Theatre, Columbus Association for the Performing Arts, Experience Columbus, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Ohio Bankers League, Wexner Center for the Arts, and The Ohio State University East Hospital. She is a past member of the United Way campaign cabinet and past chair of the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges and Law Enforcement Foundation annual campaigns.

In 2019 Sue received the “Women of Achievement” award which honors Columbus women who have made extraordinary contributions to their families, workplaces, and communities. Sue is also a past recipient of the WELD “Women WELDing the Way” award, the Smart Business Magazine “Trailblazer Award” and Columbus Business First’s “Forty under 40” award.

Sue earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from Miami University and graduated from the executive management program at Case Western Reserve University.
