About Your Neighborhood

Canton

Huntington Bank is proud to be a community partner in the Canton region.  Our programs are designed to enrich the community and create an environment where our children can grow and thrive. The breadth and depth of these efforts range from programs aimed at financial empowerment to the individual volunteer efforts of Huntington associates at all levels of the corporation. Huntington strives to give our best back to our communities, fostering strong, healthy and vibrant neighborhoods by sharing our resources and time.

Huntington is proud to be a catalyst for positive change in the greater Canton area. We take this role seriously. We support affordable housing and financial literacy, and work to improve the lives of those most vulnerable in our communities.

A Personal Investment in Stronger Communities

MLK Jr. Day of Service

The MLK Day of Service is an annual volunteer event across the country that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to strengthen our communities.

Many of our colleagues honored the late civil rights activist by volunteering at various social service organizations on the federal holiday. Team members from our Greater Akron/Canton Region read MLK history aloud to students and provided hands-on financial literacy at the JRC Learning Center in Canton.

JRC Learning Center: Financial Empowerment

Huntington is committed to teaching the importance of smart money decisions.  Several Canton colleagues gathered recently at the JRC Learning Center to deliver financial empowerment education to four classrooms of pre-school children ranging in ages from three to five years old.  Volunteers read to students and then helped with teach basic financial education through activities such as coin identification and counting money puzzles.
