Commercial Banking: Key Things to Know
A little extra knowledge to simplify your move to Huntington commercial banking.
We Look Forward to Working with You
Your Commercial Accounts and Services
Deposit and Liquidity Management
We’ll automatically select the Huntington commercial accounts closest to your current TCF accounts. You’ll learn about your accounts in the Welcome Package we will send in early September 2021. Your Relationship Manager can also assist you with any questions you may have.
Financing
All of your current relationships, from loans and lines of credit to highly specialized credit products, will transfer to Huntington, with no changes to terms and conditions. Learn more about Huntington’s
financing capabilities.
Treasury Management
A comprehensive Transition Guide for all Treasury Management Services was made available via your Welcome Package and emails we sent you.
We will automatically transfer your payees, Wire/ACH payment templates, some basic permission settings, and other personalized data, which will be available for you to review and confirm in advance during an administrator and user setup and preview period that will begin on September 20.
Business Credit Cards
If you currently have a TCF or Chemical branded business credit card, your account will continue to be managed by First Bankcard (the current provider) and will not move to Huntington. Your card will continue to work without any interruption. Please contact the telephone number or website listed on the back of your card for any questions.
Remote Deposit Capture
Your TCF Remote Deposit will remain accessible using the same URL and login credentials. Please be sure to bookmark the TCF Remote Deposit site prior to October 8, 2021. As a Huntington customer, your remote deposit window will be extended to midnight ET.
Lockbox
Your lockbox service will remain accessible using the same URL and login credentials. Please be sure to bookmark the TCF Lockbox site in advance of the October 8 conversion. There will be no changes to your remittance address or processing and your lockbox deposits will be transitioned to Huntington.
Your Transactions
Account Numbers
Your account and routing numbers will change as of October 12, 2021. ACH customers received their new account numbers in mid-September along with detailed information on how to set up and initiate ACH Payments with Huntington. All other deposit customers will receive new account/routing numbers in a letter sent in advance of accounts converting to Huntington. They will also be viewable in Huntington® Business Online during the preview period beginning September 20, and after your accounts move to Huntington on October 12.
Checks and ACH Transactions
You may continue to use your TCF or Chemical checks until they run out.
ACH transactions received for your account will continue with no action required on your part. Huntington will notify ACH payment originators of your new deposit account and routing number(s) with a Notification of Change (NOC).
Bill Pay
Most payee information and scheduled bill payments will be transferred to Huntington, but please take the time to validate your payees and scheduled payments. (Note: At Huntington, bill pay funds are debited from your account on the day we send the payment, not the payment delivery date. Bill payments and transfers entered before 8 p.m. ET will be processed on the same business day.)
TCF online bill pay will no longer be available starting at 4 p.m. ET on October 7.
Transfers
You will need to reestablish future-dated and recurring internal account-to-account transfers, including transfers/payments to TCF loans or lines of credit, on or after October 12.
Night Deposit Box
Deposits made through one of our night depositories are typically considered received on the next business day after you make the deposit. Once received, availability of your deposit will be made in accordance with our Funds Availability Policy.
Your Access
Business Online
To prepare for the transition from Business eBanking to Huntington® Business Online on October 12, company administrators and users should preview online banking at Huntington beginning September 20. User login information was sent via email to online administrators and users the week of September 20, along with detailed instructions to help you during the preview period. The company administrator must be the first user to log in to Business Online and accept the Business Online User Agreement.
You will continue to bank using TCF Business eBanking through October 8.
In-Person
As always, your Relationship Manager will be available to meet with you at your offices or other locations that are convenient for you. For your in-branch banking needs, your branch network will expand on October 12 when TCF banking centers change to Huntington and you can begin banking at any Huntington location.
Your Reporting and Recordkeeping
Deposit Account Statements
You will receive a final deposit account statement from TCF either in the mail or in online banking. Statement cycles will remain approximately the same as they are today. Your statements currently saved by TCF will be transferred and made available for you to view via Huntington® Business Online.
Tax Reporting
We will send your company and the IRS any applicable tax reporting information for 2021. If you receive tax statements through tcfbank.com, please save and print historical statements prior to October 1.
