Steps to take before June 18

Confirm your contact info

Make sure your address, mobile number, and email are up to date with Cadence so you can receive a one-time passcode to log in.

Set up your new login

If eligible, use the “Reserve my username” link provided in Cadence Online Banking to create your Huntington username and password. Taking this step will help you be prepared to enroll in Online Banking on Monday, June 22.

Review and note your transfers

Most recurring and future-dated transfers will move to Huntington automatically, but some may need to be reestablished after June 22.

Adjust upcoming bill payments

If you have payments scheduled shortly after June 22, consider sending them before June 18 to help avoid delays during the transition.

Save your Bill Pay history

Your transaction history and Bill Pay details will transfer, but you may want to keep a copy for your records.

Save your Zelle® information

Your Zelle® recipient list will not transfer. You will need to reestablish them after enrolling in Zelle®. Any scheduled or recurring Zelle® payments will be canceled when access ends on June 18 at 6:00 a.m. ET.

Important things to know

  • Payments are processed based on the “send on” date, not the due date. Review and adjust future payments to ensure they arrive on time.
  • Final Cadence Bank account statements through June 18 will be mailed even if you receive electronic statements.
  • If you used Zelle® at Cadence, your previous activity will not appear in the Huntington Zelle® activity page, but it will remain in your account transaction history.

Key information about your Bill Pay

What transfers and what doesn’t

  • Payees will transfer automatically to your new Huntington checking account.
  • If your new Huntington account is a money market, your payees will not transfer. You will need to set up these payees using a checking account.
  • If the person who set up or manages Bill Pay is not an owner of the checking account used for payments, the payees and payments will not transfer.
  • Huntington does not support electronic bills (eBills). If you used eBills at Cadence, your payment may have been made automatically for the full amount due. At Huntington, you’ll enter your payment amount each month if your bill varies. If your payment amount stays the same, you can set up a recurring payment.
  • Auto payments set up using eBills will not continue after the transition. If an eBill auto payment was scheduled before the transition and is to be paid after June 22, Huntington will process that one payment. Future payments will need to be set up using Bill Pay.

Bill Pay Timing

  • Payments are withdrawn on the “send on” date, not the due date.
  • Existing payments will use the prior delivery date as the new “send on” date, which could cause late payments.
  • Review and update all future and recurring payments:
    • Allow 2 business days for electronic payments
    • Allow 5 business days for check payments
  • Some payees may receive checks instead of electronic payments. Choose earlier send dates and confirm payee details match your paper bill.
  • Payments scheduled on weekends or holidays send on the next business day.

Bill Pay History

  • Six months of Bill Pay history will appear in Payments history.
  • Historical bill pay transactions older than six months will show in your deposit account transaction history.
