Important things to know

  • Bill Pay payees and payments linked to a checking account were transferred automatically. Some payments may need to be set up again.
  • Payments are processed based on the “send on” date, not the due date. Review and adjust future payments to ensure they arrive on time.
  • Final Cadence Bank deposit account statements through June 18 will be mailed even if you receive electronic statements.
  • If you used Zelle® at Cadence, your previous activity will not appear in the Huntington Zelle® activity page, but it will remain in your account transaction history.

Key information about your Bill Pay

What transferred and what didn't

  • Payees were transferred automatically to your new Huntington checking account.
  • If your new Huntington account is a money market, your payees did not transfer. You will need to set up these payees using a checking account.
  • If the person who set up or manages Bill Pay is not an owner of the checking account used for payments, the payees and payments did not transfer.
  • Huntington does not support electronic bills (eBills). If you used eBills at Cadence, your payment may have been made automatically for the full amount due. At Huntington, you’ll enter your payment amount each month if your bill varies. If your payment amount stays the same, you can set up a recurring payment.
  • Auto payments set up using eBills do not continue. If an eBill auto payment was scheduled before the transition and was to be paid after June 22, Huntington processed that one payment. Future payments will need to be set up using Bill Pay.

Bill Pay Timing

  • Payments are withdrawn on the “send on” date, not the due date.
  • Existing payments used the prior delivery date as the new “send on” date, which could cause late payments.
  • Review and update all future and recurring payments:
    • Allow 2 business days for electronic payments
    • Allow 5 business days for check payments
  • Some payees may receive checks instead of electronic payments. Choose earlier send dates and confirm payee details match your paper bill.
  • Payments scheduled on weekends or holidays send on the next business day.

Bill Pay History

  • Six months of Bill Pay history appear in Payments history.
  • Historical bill pay transactions older than six months show in your deposit account transaction history.

Huntington provides flexible options for accessing and managing your accounts. You can select the approach that best fits your needs using one of the following options:

Option 1: Dedicated Business Profile - A separate login exclusively for your business accounts.

  • Advantages: Maintain clear separation between business and personal finances. Use unique credentials for added security.
  • Considerations: External Transfers are not available with this option.
  • Getting Started: Visit huntington.com, select Login, then choose Enroll Now to get started. You can create your new credentials by entering either your new Huntington Bank account or debit or ATM card number, or your current Cadence Bank account number

Option 2: Consumer Profile with Linked Business Accounts - Link your business accounts to your personal profile (must be primary owner of business account).

  • Advantages: Single login for both personal and business accounts. Consolidated view of all accounts. Ability to transfer funds between accounts (internal and external). Access to Bill Pay and Zelle® for both personal and business accounts (Zelle® is available in the Huntington Mobile Banking App).

A confirmation message will appear once the accounts have been successfully linked.

Option 3: Business Owner Perks - For customers who are signers and beneficial owners on multiple businesses, Gemini enables easy switching between businesses.

  • Advantages: View only the accounts you are authorized to access. Automatically configured upon login – no additional setup required.
  • Considerations: Must be enrolled in Huntington Online Banking for both personal and business before access will be automatically granted for this feature. Additionally, you must be a beneficial owner with at least 25% ownership and a signer on at least one of the business accounts.
  • Getting Started: Customers who are enrolled and eligible will be auto enrolled in this feature. Note: Your business login credentials will continue to exist.
