Reverse Positive Pay
fraud mitigation service that provides detection of fraudulent, altered, or counterfeit checks by creating and posting a
daily report of presented items (excluding checks cashed at a Huntington Branch) to Business Online.
How Does Reverse Positive Pay Work?
The report is posted to Business Online the day after checks are presented for payment. The report will contain check information such as the dollar amount and check number as well as digital images of the checks – everything you need to review and confirm activity.
When using Reverse Positive Pay on Business Online, you simply need to review and decide if any of the items should be returned. All items without a decision will be paid once the decision period ends.
You also have the option to easily setup and receive email alerts regarding exceptions, decisions, and approvals.
For an additional layer of fraud mitigation, Teller Block can be added to Reverse Positive Pay by request. Teller Block blocks all paper-based checks from cashing at the Huntington Branches. Payees will still be able to deposit their checks with this service.
Our payment and fraud mitigation tools are designed to make it easier for you to monitor your payments so you can stay a step ahead of threats to your business's finances.
