About GregGreg Viener is president of Huntington’s Mid-Michigan Region.
Viener joined Huntington in 2016 following the merger of FirstMerit into the company. While at FirstMerit, he served as the community president for Flint and Genesee County responsible for leading cross-line business development, creating and executing revenue-generating strategy and portfolio management.
Previously, he was Treasury Manager at the University of Michigan, Senior Treasury Analyst for Coors Brewing Company and the Assistant Cash Manager at United Artists Theatre Circuit. Prior to starting his career in financial services, he served 9 years in the U.S. Air Force, as a Non-Commissioned Officer, teaching B-52 and B-1 armament systems and held a Master Instructor designation.
Viener earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He serves as on the regional leadership council of the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce and as a board member for the Flint Downtown Development Authority (treasurer), Uptown Revinest Corporation (chair), United Way of Genesee County (vice chair) and is a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Flint. Additionally, he is a board member of Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and is a member of the Mid-Michigan Roundtable for the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve of Chicago. He lives in Genesee County with his wife and son.
