West Michigan

We've established a legacy of community leadership in West Michigan communities through active colleague engagement in many community organizations.

Huntington's West Michigan Region is headquartered in Grand Rapids. Read below to see how we help support our communities.

Make Kids Money Smart

Huntington continues its ongoing commitment to teaching kids financial literacy. Since 2010, Huntington West Michigan has economically empowered 5,000 students by teaching topics such as budgeting, global finance and entrepreneurship. This year, we continue our ongoing financial education commitment through our partnership with the Michigan Great Lakes Junior Achievement chapter.

Our programs reach underserved elementary and middle school students in Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon and Lansing with more than 50 of our colleagues teaching financial education through the JA in a Day and JA Reverse Job Shadowing Programs.

It's Connecting with Community programming with NBC affiliate WOODTV8 provides ongoing visibility and support for the many non-profit organizations that contribute to the overall quality of life in West Michigan. Huntington's leadership team members in the region have taken active roles on many non-profit boards and in regional initiatives to help shape the future. As an example, Huntington will help to host the second West Michigan Regional Policy Conference in September 2012 to bring focus to a new legislative agenda for the region and the state to address future viability.
